Our Projects

Find out more about how we use the power of knowledge to resolve environmental problems.

Our Collaborative Solutions Communication Platform.

Conservation Interaction has created a ‘Collaborative Solutions Communication Platform’. This will share adaptations that improve the livelihoods of coastal Tanzanian citizens and increase their resiliency to climate change.

We will become the central ‘hub’ for climate change communication in Tanzania, working together with citizens, government, civil society organisations and the private sector. This will solve the current knowledge-sharing problem, as there is no coordinated and integrated approach to provide information on adaptation solutions to coastal communities affected by climate change, primarily due to funding issues. This has been verified through a literature research, and by consulting our stakeholders and beneficiaries.

The platform includes an hour long radio programme aired on a national station, during prime time with a repeat the same week, as well as broadcasting on local community stations. It also covers the supportive text messaging service, monitoring and evaluation surveys, dissemination and problem resolution with stakeholders with progress reports.

Green Solutions Newspaper Column.

We wrote a weekly article featuring 'Green Solutions' in the national English newspaper, 'The Citizen' in Tanzania from October 2012 to August 2013. It featured projects and solutions that readers could adopt such as recycling and composting.
